Message From The Dean and Associate Dean
Within the thirteen programs in the Faculty, we offer a wide range of courses leading towards six-month certificates, two-year diplomas, four-year degrees, and much in between. Every program has a practice component, where theory moves into application as you learn to work effectively in your chosen career. Our common theme across all programs is that of being and working with people, whether it be through enhancing the development of infants through interaction and play, or through developing programming for youth, through contributing to the transition to parenting, or through engaging in life history review with an older adult.
Our graduates are well positioned to make meaningful contributions to society through their practice with individuals, families, groups and communities, and they have strong success with employment upon completion of their programs. Active and participatory learning are what you can expect, as well as relevant and current curriculum. Our learners are guided through experiences that require self-awareness, commitment, reflection, critical thinking, and teamwork. Through these varied and rich learning experience, you will gain the competencies necessary to enter your chosen health or human services career.
